This specific painting is one of Dave’s favorite works. The original painting was done in 1947 and contains a beautiful pallet of sunset colors. The Loch Ness monster was chosen as Nessie has been mentioned as early as 1941. The specific character design is a nod to the film The Secret Life of Sherlock Holmes which has one of the most bizarre versions of the Loch Nest Beast.

Squarespace crops these images and cuts off the sides. Apparently I can’t even fix it without editing ALL THE PHOTOS IN MY SHOP. I wish I had time. Please right click and choose “open image in new tab” and that will let you see the whole image.
